Who the f**k is Johnny Heartache?

Johnny Heartache formed from the ashes of much loved and self proclaimed “London’s hardest band”
Kick Junk who were touted as the new Feelgoods until
they called it a day way back when…
The main instigators Brian and Paul lay low
in their respective boroughs and licked their wounds for a year or so. However,
they were coaxed back from squaresville by an adoring public and a distant
memory of a familiar place, commonly known as “the circuit”...
This time the ethos was to keep it simple and go acoustic. Influenced by Punk
Rock and Modism (SLF, Ruts and Stranglers), the beauty of
Americana (Whiskeytown, Wilco, Steve Earle) and alcohol,
they started gigging Winter ’04 and have since been described as “Johnny
Cash meets The Clash” and “Acoustic Rock ‘n’ Roll”...
Updating Woody Guthrie’s tagline to “These guitars kill
fascists” and raiding the vaults for inspiration, they combine
classic songwriting with great harmonies, passion, soul and looking sharp...
So there you have it “booze fuelled blue eyed punk rock acoustic folk ‘n’
roll” or as one of the boys recently quipped “We wanna walk
like Dr Feelgood and sound like Bob Dylan”...
They may only be two strong but they’re as tough as old boots...
Ladies and gentlemen... Johnny Heartache
