Light Entertainment Mobile application development

TheTin developed a mobile application from Flash source code for distribution as a Christmas gift to our clients.

This project came about from a Tinnovation session looking at the re-introduction of the Flash packager for Apple's iPhone and iPad.

Our Flash development team wanted to explore the idea of building an application once and then distributing across a range of devices rather than building a native application for each device.

We chose our popular Light Entertainment game as a test case for this exercise. The team pulled the original source code apart and rebuilt with iPhone, iPad and Google Android devices in mind.

Online support for this process was limited due to Apple's initial opposition to this build approach and in turn Adobe's lack of support.

The application was developed in a couple of weeks and then packaged for distribution via Apple's App Store and Android's Marketplace.

At last count the game had been downloaded over 700 times on iOS devices and over 300 times on Android.
